I am eclectic in my approach, using play therapy and many different therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of my clients.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
in the states of Georgia (License # CSW004135),
New Jersey (License # 44SC05972000) and
Florida (License # TPSW901)
and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S # S2344). I also have a Perinatal Mental Health-Certification (PMH-C).

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Morris Brown College and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia. I am a first-generation American, born in New York City to immigrant parents from Trinidad and Tobago. My husband is from Nigeria and we have two beautiful children. I specialize in working with children ages 3-18, adults, and families.

I am eclectic in my approach, using play therapy and many different therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of my clients. I also specialize in working with children and adolescents with behavioral challenges, as well as parenting support and training. I am also passionate about helping people with ethnic, cultural, and racial identity issues and/or trauma, as well as moms adjusting to motherhood. I have had the unique opportunity to practice in a wide variety of settings and cultures. I have worked as a school social worker, with adults with mental health illnesses, children and adolescents involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice, families involved with the Department of Family and Children Services, provided in-home therapy, and has spent some time studying in Ghana, West Africa.

I draw from this background, as I carefully tailor my approach to each individual client. I assess each client’s specific goals, strengths, and challenges, and together, develop an appropriate treatment plan. I’ve also volunteered as a camp counselor with the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, for burn-injured children. I am very active in my community for racial and social justice.

In addition to providing therapy, both in-person and virtually, I also provide clinical and play therapy supervision. I am also a Cultural and Racial Diversity Play Therapy Consultant, and an International Speaker and Trainer. I am Secretary and Board Member of the Georgia Association for Play Therapy. I can be reached directly at 404-407-5096.
