I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC)
I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
I am an Atlanta native and have lived in Georgia for most of my life. Before becoming a Mental Health Counselor, I worked as a college adviser and a crisis counselor. These experiences taught me that meaningful change involves all aspects of an individual’s life.
I focus on person-centered therapy and use various therapeutic interventions to help clients uncover meaning in their lives, as well as instilling life skills in order to facilitate healthy behavior changes. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with anxiety-based disorders.
My education at Georgia State University has allowed me to work with all types of clients from various backgrounds. I utilize Exposure-Response therapy and mindfulness in order to empower my clients to overcome their stressors and compulsions. They learn how to face their fears in a safe and understanding environment.
I ensure that my clients are active participants in every step of the therapeutic process. We assess goals, strengths and obstacles and order to create a treatment plan that will maximize overall wellness. My passion lies in helping my clients live the best version of their life.
My areas of specialties are: Individual Adult Therapy, Adolescent Therapy, Exposure-Response Therapy, Career Counseling, Anxiety, OCD, Phobias, Trauma and PTSD, Racial and Ethnic Cultural Identity, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Depression, Grief and Loss, Mindfulness, and Social Skills.
