I am committed to actively listening and understanding what my clients are experiencing, to provide them with the necessary tools to improve their overall quality of life.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (LPC011793).
I attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University. Before entering the mental health profession, I was an elementary school teacher in a predominately BIPOC school in Atlanta, Ga. My experience as an elementary school teacher revealed that a key component to students' success in society is directly impacted by social and emotional wellness.
My career as a therapist started in 2012 and I am extremely passionate about working in the helping profession. I worked in a variety of settings including psychological centers, elementary schools, job corps, nursing homes, and head start educational centers. I serve children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.
I utilize a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered therapy, stress management, increasing self-worth mindfulness, mood management, anxiety reduction, empowerment, and work/life balance.
I am committed to actively listening to my clients. I understand that everyone has a unique story and experience. My goal is to spend time understanding what my clients are experiencing and provide them with the necessary tools to improve their overall quality of life.
